Consultation on Payment of a Fine for a Lost Book
In case of damage or loss of a book from the library collection, you must contact the RUDN Library (6 Miklukho-Maklaya St., office 20) to agree on an application for book compensation.
A book is considered damaged in the following cases:
- pages are torn out
- notes or underlines are made with a pen or marker
- damage is caused to the text or barcodes
In case of loss (damage) of a library book, the damage can be compensated in the following ways:
- replacement with a similar book or one deemed equivalent
- payment of monetary compensation (with the reader's consent based on their written application)
Compensation cost
RUDN Publishing House books:
- up to 100 pages, published more than 10 years ago — 300 rubles
- 100 pages or more, published more than 10 years ago — 2500 rubles
Books from other publishers:
- up to 100 pages, published more than 10 years ago — 500 rubles
- 100 pages or more, published more than 10 years ago — 5000 rubles
Books published less than 10 years ago — purchase price multiplied by five.
How to make an appointment?
STEP 1
Download the application “RUDN University” from App Store/Google play or through browser .
STEP 2
Log in with your RUDN ID account (corporate mail).
STEP 3
Go to “Services”, then “Multiservice Center”, then select “Consultation and Change of Data”, then select from the list of services available for ordering “Consultation on Payment of a Fine for a Lost Book”.
