The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has been conducting research on the silk road for more than 20 years. Hotel Business and Tourism Institute RUDN\, an affiliated member of the World Tourism Organization\, joined the UNWTO Silk Road working group and was actively involved in research in this area.
