DESCRIPTION:We start with defining a C*-algebra obtained as a closure of the set of infinite matrices such that each row and each column has at most a fixed number of nonzero elements.  Then we discuss its properties and consider how it embedds in the general picture of  Roe algebras of discrete metric spaces. Based on this example\, we show\, how to understand correctly Roe algebras for spaces without bounded geometry assumption.
