About the event
The seminar will address issues of the characteristics of microbial communities of urban soils and soil constructions in the Russian Arctic using the example of 3 cities of the Murmansk region (Murmansk, Apatity, Monchegorsk). The main properties of urban soils and soil structures of Arctic cities, features of microbial communities: their quantitative characteristics, functional activity and taxonomic diversity will be discussed.
