The interdisciplinary research center "Mathematical Modeling in Biomedicine" was established three years ago at the S. M. Nikol’skii Mathematical Institute, RUDN University. The main research areas of this center include modeling of the cardiovascular system and diseases, infectious diseases and immune response, modeling of cancer diseases, as well as mathematical analysis of models that arise in biomedicine. This lecture will provide a brief overview of the work of the center and will cover one of the topics in a little more detail, namely, modeling of the cardiovascular system and diseases.
