Abstract: In the framework of the seminar, we will consider the Cohen-Macaulay and shelling simplicial complexes, study the construction of the Stanley-Reisner ring, and also formulate the theorems of Hochster (without proof), Reisner and Mankrs (with outline of the proofs).
