Specialist of the Department of the Sociology of RUDN speaks at the University of Porto about non-verbal indicators of basic emotions
March 19-23, the Assistant Professor of Sociology, RUDN, PhD (Sociological Sciences) T.I. Larina was on a working trip at the University of Porto (Universidade do Porto, Portugal). During her visit, the expert delivered a course of lectures at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Human Sciences (Departamento de sociologia da Facultade de letras da Universidade do Porto).
The students got theoretical knowledge about basic emotions, emotional intelligence, learned about non-verbal indicators of basic emotions, and also acquired practical skills of recognizing the basic emotions on the face with the help of special simulator programs.
The lectures were based the author's course of T.I. Larina: «Analysis of non-verbal behavior in applied sociological research: theoretical development and practice of use».
Sergey Ivanov, a scholar from St. Petersburg, has been named the first winner of RUDN University鈥檚 International Prize for Scientific Achievements in Mathematics, worth 5 million rubles.
