Structural unit: Academy of Engineering.
The Center conducts applied research in automotive and ground transportation, unmanned systems (both ground and aerial), vehicle diagnostic methods, environmental issues in automotive industry and road network design.
RESOURCES
The Center’s laboratory facilities enable the following work and research:
- assessing the technical condition of vehicles;
- digital modeling of the operating processes of engines running on alternative fuels;
- testing vehicles for energy, environmental and economic parameters;
- digital modeling, development and manufacture of unmanned ground and aerial vehicles.
EQUIPMENT FLEET
- HP-6B test rig (AE&T) for assessing the technical condition of electromagnetic injectors;
- Cartec LPS 2510 single-axle chassis dynamometer for assessing the energy performance of vehicle engines (power, torque) in various modes simulating real-world road conditions;
- Infracar 5M-3T.02 five-component gas analyzer for assessing the environmental performance of internal combustion engines;
- DFM 100 CK fuel flow meter for assessing the economic performance of vehicle engines, as well as for obtaining and analyzing data on actual fuel consumed by the engine;
- workstations for numerical modeling of vehicle components and assemblies;
- workstations for numerical modeling of vehicle traffic on urban road networks.
The Center’s computing capabilities can be expanded, if necessary, by connecting to the RUDN University supercomputer (205.46 Tflops).
THE TEAM
Solves a wide range of problems for academic and industrial partners in automotive and ground transportation, as well as developing new unmanned systems for both ground and aerial vehicles.
