On March 3, 2017 took place meeting between the representatives of the institute of Law (RUDN University) and University of Groningen 4 QS Stars, 113 QS World university rankings.

On March 3, 2017 took place meeting between the representatives of the institute of Law (RUDN University) and University of Groningen 4 QS Stars, 113 QS World university rankings (). Innovative, research-driven and rooted in the number-one knowledge hub of the Northern Netherlands, the University of Groningen is an internationally oriented university with 30,000 students. Quality has been top priority for over four hundred years, and with great success: the University is currently in or around the top 100 in several influential ranking lists. At the meeting were discussed very important questions: joint publications, exchange of students and participation in joint programs of educational and academic mobility.

In 2017, RUDN University scientists constructed a new explicit second-order precision difference scheme using modern computer algebra methods for 2-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) [1]. This year, our mathematicians used a new scheme [2] to construct a numerical solution to the Cauchy problem with initial data (for t=0) as satisfying the continuity equation. Scientists managed to achieve previously unattainable accuracy of the continuity equation.

5 million rubles for science: RUDN University named the winner of the university’s first prize in mathematics

Sergey Ivanov, a scientist from St. Petersburg, became the first winner of the RUDN University International Prize for scientific achievements and merits in the field of mathematics in the amount of 5 million rubles.
